Look & Listen
Hannah Frank is a lyricst, songwriter, and guitarist whose style is familiar yet strikingly original; with a voice somewhere between honey and barbed wire. Slinging a guitar in troubador style, she weaves stories with a colorful command of language and humor; originally starting out with a mission to be a modern day Woody Guthrie, writing songs from experience. Two decades later, her influences range from folk, soul, jazz, West Side blues, world music and traditional blues and roots songs.
Since 2012, her band Hannah Frank Group has performed at Chicago's House of Blues, Mayne Stage, and festivals in Chicagoland with Meg Thomas, Ben E. Miller and Victor Sanders, among others. Learn more about members here.
Their LIVE EP has been aired on WDCB 90.9FM and Hannah has appeared live on WZRD 88.3 FM and WLUW 88.7 FM, as well as on Chicago Acoustic Underground Podcast and Strobe Recording Studio's Strobe Sessions.
Hannah Frank's music is alternative folk roots music with heavy lyrics. Audiences enjoy traces of blues, Americana, rock and world music wrapped with honey meets barbed wire vocals.
